Constantin Ernst, the general producer of the drama TV series "Metod", announced that the 5th episode of the 2nd season will be broadcasted on "Perviy Kanal" in autumn 2020.
Despite the fact that the TV show is based on real events, filmmakers deemed it necessary to deliberately distort certain facts. This was done in order to avoid unwanted conflicts with the public and political figures. A large portion of the criminal cases were borrowed from investigators in Irkutsk.

Putting the elusive malefactor behind bars has become a matter of honor for him. For this reason, he does not want to involve any outsiders in the investigation.
The main roles were played by: Paulina Andreeva, who was noticed in the films "Myths" and "Like Children", Yuri Kolokolnikov, who appeared in the feature films "The Comedian" and "VMayakovsky", Sergey Sosnovsky, involved in the series "Silver Grove" and "Unknown", and other actors.
Konstantin Khabensky took his role seriously and discussed important aspects with the screenwriters in advance. He had to grow a beard and dress in a long coat. A cap also became one of the main accessories of his character. The creators didn't want to use a lot of makeup, initially emphasizing naturalness.
