The NTV channel plans to release an adaptation of the drama "The Bridge" on air in 2018, which was shown in 2011 on SVT1 and DR1 from Denmark and Sweden respectively. The Russian version of the series will be handled by the studio "White Media" under the guidance of director Konstantin Statsky, who recently gifted viewers with the hit series "Major" from the First Channel.

The plot of the TV series unfolds on the Estonian-Russian border. On the bridge between Narva and Ivan-Gorod, exactly on the border of the two countries, the body of a dead woman is found. Detectives from the police departments of both countries take on the investigation of this crime. In addition, it is discovered that the found corpse consists of two parts - the upper part belongs to a member of the Estonian parliament who lived in St. Petersburg, and the lower part belongs to a waitress from Tallinn, who was originally from Russia. The main characters of the detective series are investigator Maxim Kazantsev from Russia and inspector Inga Veermaa from Estonia. Together, they will step by step follow the culprit, clinging to any clues that can lead them to the killer. Their teamwork also leads them to the motives behind the committed crime - personal revenge against the police officer Maxim Kazantsev.

The first part of the drama is planned for 20 episodes. This is already the third adaptation of the series "Bron" (from Swedish "The Bridge"). Besides NTV, this project has also been remade in England and the USA.
