The Russian detective series "Not a Couple" premiered on June 21, 2016, on the television channel "Russia-1".

Her life took a turn for the worse after a very unpleasant incident caused by her own husband's fault. She discovered the ugly truth about her spouse's infidelity. It is even more difficult for her to endure such betrayal since her husband is also her colleague at work.

The main protagonist makes a difficult decision to leave her position. However, before her dismissal, she has to investigate one last criminal crime. She was very surprised by the fact that the criminal turned out to be her first love. She had a passionate romance with Kostrov, which ended due to Oleg's sudden disappearance. Now her former lover appears before her in all his glory and sincerely happy to see her again. It soon becomes clear that instead of going to prison, the resourceful adventurer makes a mutually beneficial deal with the police and becomes Marina's partner. She expresses dissatisfaction with the recklessness of the higher management's actions but does not dare to go against her superiors and begins to cooperate.
