The CW usually announces show renewals at the beginning of the year, but no statements were made in January 2016. The main actors Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies were able to please fans on March 11th with news of further filming of the vampire saga on social media. With a high probability, the premiere of the 4th season will take place in March 2017. The number of episodes in the new part of the TV show will be reduced to 13 episodes. Whether this is a sign of the series coming to an end is still unknown.

The only way to escape is to flee, so soon we can expect the return of the Original back to the city. Vincent will oppose Marcel.
