The First Channel plans to release a political television series called "Party" in 2019. The new show is being filmed by director Yuri Kuzmenko at the Russian Project studio.

The plot revolves around a Russian oligarch (actor Vitaly Khayev) who, besides money, wants to grab a little bit of power over his country. To achieve this, he invests a considerable amount of money in the establishment and promotion of his own political party. He assembles a team of specialists who only think about how to make as much money as possible from the newly minted politician. On the way to the State Duma, the head of the new party will tour almost the entire vast territory of Russia with his deputies. Unbelievably huge financial contributions will be poured in support of the candidate, and populist information will be spread everywhere. In addition, many illegal schemes for attracting voters will be used within the productions, of which the main character is the owner. Part of the script overlaps with the real situation in Russian politics, so don't be surprised if you recognize familiar personalities in the characters of this multi-part drama.
