Picnic at Hanging Rock Season 2

A representative of the film company FremantleMedia Australia announced their intention to release the second season of the mini-series "Picnic at Hanging Rock" in early 2019.

The finale of season 1 was broadcasted on the Showcase channel in the spring of 2018. The TV series is based on the outstanding work of the magnificent Joan Lindsay, released in 1967.

The events described in the TV show take the audience back to the year 1900. At the center of the narrative is a mysterious woman who declares herself a widow and buys a giant mansion. After a lucrative deal, she renovates the building and attractive girls move in. The beautiful ladies come here with the goal of obtaining the necessary education and learning to behave properly in high society. Noble ladies and responsible teachers take on the guardianship of the students. However, not all the students are pleased with the educational institution. They are young and full of energy. The beauties want to have fun and engage in romances, rather than study etiquette rules. Miranda is the daughter of a farmer and does not see the need to listen to her elders. She periodically runs away from them, rides horses, and behaves rebelliously. Her bravery genuinely admires her friend Sarah. The girl cannot boast of any special talents and calls herself a troublemaker in a skirt. Once, the charming heroines go out into nature to celebrate Valentine's Day. But none of them return to the house.

The main roles were played by: Natalie Dormer, known for the films "The Riot Club" and "The Invisible Woman," Madeline Madden, who was seen in the feature films "Maestro" and "The Lifeguard," Yael Stone, noticed in the series "Deep Water" and "Childhood's End," and other artists.

The premiere took place on May 6, 2018. There are 6 episodes produced. The story is dedicated to the mysterious disappearance of three young women.
