A representative of the film company "Mediaslovo" announced that the second season of the TV series "Podkidysh" will be released in the first half of 2020.

The final episode of the first season will be broadcasted on Channel One at the end of 2019. The events take place in the 1920s.

Details of the second season

The action takes place during the peak of the New Economic Policy (NEP). The story revolves around a nimble and energetic orphan who has experienced many hardships since childhood. Due to certain reasons, he was deprived of parental custody. His difficult life toughened his character. In his youth, this troublemaker from Novgorod completed small tasks for a criminal authority nicknamed Zemlyanika. He would break into the homes of strangers and help pickpocket unsuspecting passers-by. Once, he was lucky enough to steal a wallet from a wealthy man. In addition to finding money in the wallet, the cunning fraudster discovered a ticket to Leningrad. The clever lad decides to take advantage of this opportunity and escape in an unknown direction. He arrives in the metropolis and slowly begins to make useful acquaintances. Suddenly, law enforcement officers mistake him for their colleague, a famous district investigator who has been promoted to a managerial position. The criminal wants to deceive the law enforcement officers by pretending to be a great detective. With the help of official documents and authority, he plans to steal valuable belongings along with important evidence.

The main roles are played by: Timofey Tribuntsev, the star of the films "Melancholy" and "Progress Ruined", Nikolay Shraiber, who appeared in the films "Success" and "Vanka the Terrible", Aglaya Tarasova, who appeared in the series "Shards" and "After School", and other artists.

The premiere will start in 2019. It consists of 12 episodes. The screenplay tells the story of a skilled con artist who embarks on a dangerous adventure.
