In the spring of 2016, viewers of the TV channel "Domashniy" watched the series "Podkidyshi" for the first time. The film was directed by Maxim Papernik, Vladimir Melnichenko, Anatoly Grigoriev. The scriptwriters of the serial were Irina Chernova, Maria Starozhitskaya, Olga Yatsenko.

The series consists of twelve dramatic stories. The plot revolves around Vera Sokolova, the head of the pediatric department at the hospital. She knows the value of human life better than anyone. She often sees couples who have been unable to have a child for many years, as well as those who do not value their baby at all. In Vera's department, there is a special box where you can leave a baby, signaling your refusal to raise it. Unfortunately, for all the hospital workers, the box is rarely empty, and more and more children end up as orphans with living parents. Sokolova and her subordinates fight for each baby who is forced to live without a family. First and foremost, the hospital staff try to prevent parents from giving up their children by proving the value of life to them, but it doesn't always work. The doctors also help childless families. The most difficult part of this issue is understanding who among the volunteers will truly care for the child and who will not be able to love someone else's baby.
