The TV series "The Last Cop" from Channel Five in the city of St. Petersburg premiered on November 2, 2015. The lead role in the next police detective was played by the world-famous show business personality Gosha Kutsenko, so success is guaranteed for the project!

The script revolves around the police officer Alexei Divov. Twenty years ago, he was shot and had been lying in a coma in a hospital bed ever since. When he finally wakes up from his state of suspended animation, the world around him has changed dramatically. Instead of the familiar militia, there is now the police in Russia, which operates in ways that are very unfamiliar to him. The operative's wife now lives with someone else, and the abundance of gadgets, smartphones, and the internet simply overwhelms Alexei's mind. Divov himself was caught in the time of the turbulent 90s when employees of the Internal Affairs Department had to deal with racketeering, gang "shooters," "protection" of businesses, and other crimes that are far behind in the past. The only reminder of his old life for the last police officer is the cherry-red BMW 5 series that he bought in the 90s, where he can still listen to his favorite music on a cassette. In order to integrate into the new station, regain his wife Elizaveta and the favor of his grown-up daughter, Captain Alexei Divov will have to start his life anew.
