Preacher release date

From May 22, 2016, a new TV series called "Preacher" is airing on AMC. The show's script is based on the eponymous comic book series published by Vertigo, written by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

The plot revolves around preacher Jesse Custer from the state of Texas. Formerly a very bad boy, he turned to the righteous path only because he promised his father to become a good person. Now he wears the robe of a clergyman and delivers sermons from the pulpit. In the small town of Annville, where Jesse returned, he preached on Sundays. One day, in a bar, Custer gets extremely intoxicated and loses control with the locals. He reveals the secrets of almost everyone, which they have confessed to the pastor. The next day, with a terrible hangover, he conducts the Sunday service, attended by almost the entire population of the town. During the regular ceremony, he becomes possessed by Genesis, and as a result of the explosion, all the church visitors die. The only survivor, the priest, is soon found by his former Tulip O'Hare and his new friend - an Irish vampire-alcoholic Cassidy. Since no one alive is left within a 50-mile radius, the police conclude that the priest, Jesse, is responsible for the act of terrorism. But miraculously, he begins to speak and all his commands are impeccably obeyed by the officers. The heavens are aware of the incident that occurred and send a hunter after Genesis. As for Custer, he embarks on a journey with his friends to literally find God.
