At the beginning of 2017, the Netflix channel released a high-budget comedy series on the unchanging theme of zombies, featuring stars Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant.

In the cozy town of Santa Clarita in California, an ordinary Hammer family of three lives. Spouses Sheila and Joel are engaged in selling cottages. They work together at a real estate company, and their daughter Abby goes to school. Life was going on in the usual way until Sheila died of food poisoning. During a demonstration of the house to another clients, the woman vomited on the snowy white carpet and then many more times in the bathroom. Dissatisfied customers were outraged by such poor service, and the deal fell through. This was the last straw for their boss, who gladly fired the unsuccessful couple. When Sheila returned home, she discovered that she could not hear her own heartbeat, and Joel noticed changes in his beloved wife's behavior. They turn to their eccentric neighbor, Abby's classmate, who is interested in inexplicable and mystical facts. The guy diagnoses her as a zombie, recommending not to let the woman starve. From this unpleasant incident, the family begins to adapt to the new life and the gastronomic inclinations of the reluctant housewife.
