Another significant novelty of 2016 will be the comedic multi-series film "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll". The first season was shown on the FX channel last year. Currently, Denis Leary is working on the continuation.

The central character of the series is Johnny Rock. In the late 80s-early 90s of the last century, he performed on stage as a vocalist with The Heathens. However, the musicians were only able to release one album, after which the band broke up. A quarter of a century later, Johnny is trying to return to the stage. The impetus was his daughter Rock's move to New York. Gigi is passionate about music, just like her father. She is determined to fulfill her dream. To do this, she develops a difficult-to-implement plan. Its essence is to revive her father's band for its subsequent transformation. The new name chosen is The Assassins. The girl intends to replace her father as the lead vocalist. According to her plan, Rock should become the main songwriter. He will also have to act as Gigi's mentor.

Johnny Rock expects many difficulties, including taking care of his suddenly adult daughter and realizing that he is perceived as an aging star.
