Sherlock release date

The TV series "Sherlock" was filmed by the British channel BBC One. The entire plotline is based on Conan Doyle's books about the detective adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which have been adapted for the modern world. The first season, released in 2010, stunned viewers and gave the channel high ratings, after which filming of subsequent episodes immediately began. The idea to create such a product belongs to Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, who already had experience adapting literature from the Victorian period for a modern audience.

The events of the TV series unfold in the city of London. John Watson is a military doctor who returned from Afghanistan as a disabled person. Almost immediately, he meets Sherlock Holmes' friend, who accurately tells him about his military career and leg pain. Together, they settle on Baker Street, 221B. Throughout the plot, Watson and Holmes help Scotland Yard, periodically consulting them in complex criminal investigations, and thanks to their sharp intellect and deductive reasoning, they repeatedly expose the criminals. Unlike the 19th century, modern detectives have also benefited from modern technology.
