The BBC One channel released the series "Sherlock" on screens on July 25, 2010, which was an adaptation of those very books about Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. The first three seasons were enormously successful with audiences and consistently achieved nearly maximum ratings wherever they were shown.
But here's the problem - the TV channel decided to make a big gap between the seasons, which already have only four episodes each.
In the house on Baker Street live two very extraordinary personalities - Sherlock, a private detective, and his assistant John Watson, a doctor who served in the war in Afghanistan. Together, they help to solve high-profile crimes of the Scotland Yard police, which at first glance had no leads. Thanks to their incredible intellect and high level of deduction, no criminal will escape this duo.
Shooting for the fourth season of the series "Sherlock" began on January 6, 2015. The release date of the first episode became known the day before. The creators decided to show the new series on Catholic Christmas - December 25, 2016, which will be called "Christmas Special 2016", meaning we can expect a thematic episode. The continuation will possibly finally tell the story of the Holmes family's third brother - Sherrinford, briefly mentioned in the 3rd season. With the Russian translation, expect a new episode no earlier than December 26.
