Shut Eye release date

Public opinion regarding fortune-tellers, psychics, and prophets is quite ambiguous, as not everyone is ready to believe in people who have some special unique talents or abilities. On the other hand, some really want to believe in the existence of people possessing such powers, as they could help many in trouble and in need of advice.

The center of the plot is a colorful swindler named Charlie Haverford, who operates in the city of Los Angeles and poses as a clairvoyant and psychic. The guy does have a gift, but it's not something supernatural, he is just good at manipulating people and making them believe what he needs himself. He earns quite well by such manipulations, but he has to give a large part of the profit to the extravagant gypsy baron Fonso, who "covers" Charlie and similar fraudsters. Once, because of an unsuccessful "prediction," the young man is severely beaten, he sustains serious injuries and head bruises. And after returning from the clinic, he also falls under the hypnotic influence of a charming girl named Gina. After such traumas, it is quite difficult to recover, and Charlie even develops strange abilities, thanks to which he now sees episodes from the future. Now the guy, who has long pretended to be a predictor, actually becomes one.
