The multi-series comedy film "Svaty" appeared at the end of 2008 thanks to the efforts of Vladimir Zelensky, also known for his participation in the team of KVN "95 Kvarter", and later his own comedy show "Evening Quarter". The series was actively broadcasted on almost all channels of the CIS: Ukrainian "Inter", "Belarus-1" and "Russia-1". During its airing, the show had great success and high ratings.

The plot of the series introduces the viewer to the lives of four cheerful families: the Berkoviches, the Bukhankins, the Budko, and the Kovalevs. We will be introduced to this unusual company by Masha and Maxim - a young couple who decided to take a break from their busy life in Italy. To not leave their young daughter Zhenya unattended, they call for help from their parents. Unaware of each other's arrival, the relatives from both the bride's and groom's side come and, so as not to offend anyone, they stay together to look after their granddaughter. This is where their collision occurs - on one side, intellectuals from the city, Olya and Yura, and on the other, Valya and Ivan, simple rural residents. Together, they create a lot of comical situations and gradually improve their relationships. Their adventures do not end there, season after season they will find themselves in various life situations.
