Taboo release date

In the winter of 2017, the premiere of the pilot episodes of the project "Taboo" took place on the FX and BBC One channels. Christopher Nyholm tried to accurately convey the details of the personal life of his protagonist, the explorer James Keziah Delaney, who had to single-handedly create a large shipyard in spite of the conspiracies of ill-wishers and the envy of competitors.

The vast seas, swirling waves, and gentle breeze had been enticing the young explorer since his early childhood. But while the 19-year-old boy was acquiring African diamonds on his first voyage, criminals took his father's life. During the 10 years of his absence, the key character tirelessly contemplated creating a business that would bring a reliable stable income. And it was then, at the beginning of the distant 19th century, that the hero began to think about laying sea routes to all parts of the world to finally establish trade and gain unprecedented profit. Of course, the active young man was immediately noticed by more experienced entrepreneurs who sensed the danger to their well-established business. The farsighted innovator stood out with bold visions, but the idea was quite logical, and for some reason, lazy wealthy Englishmen did not hurry to outpace James in its swift realization.
