On the American channel TBS, on April 11, 2016, the screening of Jason Jones's film "The Detour" started. This is a story about an optimistic family consisting of four people who wanted to travel across the country.

The heroes planned to fly to Florida, which takes a minimum amount of time. But the head of the family, who recently had problems with the government, takes his sleeping family out of the state in their own car. He didn't intend to tell his concerned relatives that he had so many free days because of being fired, not another vacation. Their trip will be delayed by several days only because fortunate couple and their daughter with a son now face insurmountable obstacles. A car breakdown forces them to stay overnight in a questionable hotel. And in the morning, Nate, who was driving, is accused of drinking alcohol and sent to the police station. Then the children feel unwell and all the heroes get stuck in another roadside motel. It's unclear where the traffic jam that appeared on the road prolongs the journey to Florida, where the mood of the Parkers is finally ruined by the news of the father's unemployment. Then the friendly guys come up with a plan for Nate's rehabilitation in the labor field on the go.
