The story revolves around an unusual young man who suffers from a serious illness. Since childhood, he has been suffering from a condition called Savant syndrome. The guy was raised in a dysfunctional family and had an abusive father. Together with his brother, he ran away from home and slept wherever they could. When a relative died in an accident, he was left alone. An old man who worked in a medical institution supported him in his difficult moment and helped him get back on his feet. He convinced his colleagues that the talented young man should be given a place within the walls of the clinic. Not everyone shared his point of view, but the man managed to touch their hearts. Shaun began to fulfill his duties and quickly gained recognition from the medical staff. He stood out because he was not afraid to express his opinion to his opponent's face and openly talk to patients about their diagnosis. The hero rented a small room in the city and began to settle in it. At first, his neighbor was a pretty girl, whom he fell in love with. But she decided to fulfill her cherished dream and moved to her hometown. A new tenant moved into the vacant apartment, becoming the doctor's companion.

The main roles were played by: Freddie Highmore, who became famous after the release of feature films "August Rush" and "The Golden Compass", Antonia Thomas, who starred in films "Survivor" and "Northern Soul", Nicholas Gonzalez, involved in the films "The Good Doctor" and "Prayer for Rain" and other actors.
