The English-made series will tell about the lives of wealthy people in Great Britain who continue to calmly and steadily engage in their usual activities during World War II. While the whole world is drowning in blood and suffering, the English aristocracy, as before, lives in their closed circle, not particularly worried about the events taking place.

The story will show the audience the daily life of a luxurious hotel called "The Halcyon," located in the heart of the British capital. The people gathered here are not particularly troubled by the events of the 1940s war; they simply wait, trying to understand how to proceed.

The luxurious building is the property of Lord Hamilton, for whom the main character of the film, Richard Garland, works as a manager in this place. For several years, the man has been a witness to quite important and complex political decisions that are discussed by the London elite in his presence. Soon, the manager manages to become a good comrade and trusted person of his supervisor, someone he can always rely on.

On a wonderful day, Richard is about to find out about a secret and closed meeting of influential people from the elite layers of British society. He will hear important decisions that will affect the future of his homeland and the British position towards the German fascists.
