The Halcyon Season 2

The premiere of the second season of the series "The Halcyon" is expected to be in the first half of 2018. The production of the British drama is being handled by the film studio Left Bank Pictures. Executive producer, Julie Clarke, announced the start of work on new episodes.

The final episode of the first part was shown on February 20, 2017. The broadcast is carried out by the television channel "ITV". The story revolves around representatives of the London elite. While commoners are forced to survive in the harsh conditions of World War II, the rich take cover in a luxurious hotel and feel relatively safe.

Only influential and well-off people of the city can afford to stay in one of the most prestigious establishments. Therefore, they believe that they are entitled to expect unquestioning fulfillment of any demands and whims. In order not to lose their advantageous position, the servants carry out the guests' orders without unnecessary words. The situation changes somewhat after businessmen and politicians receive alarming information from the front. Messengers report that Germany is rapidly advancing and conquering powerful European powers. The main characters decide that they should not silently watch the events in the world from the sidelines and need to join the fight against the invaders. However, not everyone believes in the victory of their own country. Some considered it better not to get involved in military actions and disgracefully take shelter in a safe territory.

The lead roles were played by Stephen McIntosh, who appeared in projects such as "Luther" and "Doctor Who", Olivia Williams, known for films like "Seventh Son" and "The Doll's House", Sope Dirisu, who participated in the filming of TV series like "Black Mirror" and "Mindhorn", and many other actors.

The premiere started on January 2, 2017. A total of 8 episodes were filmed. The script tells the story of the guests, owners, and employees of a first-class hotel. Each of them in a difficult period of their lives must make an important decision that can change the future.
