The Knick Season 3

The final episode of the 2nd season of the dramatic series "The Knick", which tells the story of the achievements of doctors in the early XX century, aired on December 18, 2015. Fans relentlessly bombarded the creators with questions about the continuation of the movie.

Today the official release date of the next 3rd season is known. The premiere will take place on October 16, 2016 on the premium-class TV channel CineMax. The filming of the film is still handled by director Steven Soderbergh.

What will be shown in the third season

The plot revolves around doctors who save patients' lives even before the invention of antibiotics, laser scalpels, and tomographs. They rely solely on their skill, intuition, and luck. The hospital is going through tough times: mortality rates are increasing, financial support is decreasing, and the number of patients is growing. John Thackery is appointed as the Chief of Staff, who has the ability to take medicine of that time to a completely new level. How a young specialist and his team of experienced doctors manage to invent qualitatively new drugs and save lives during difficult times will be told in the next season of the drama.

The series had a very successful start on August 8, 2014, occupying consistently high positions in global film ratings. Each season presented to the public had 10 episodes, transporting the viewer to an era when horses were actually harnessed to ambulances.
