In his younger years, the aging Sandy was known as an excellent actor and had appeared in worldwide blockbusters. He knew how to present the available material skillfully and could handle any repertoire provided. Over the years, he had to retire and stop acting. Despite his old age, the key character does not despair and continues to work in Hollywood. The former artist chooses to teach and tries to teach young talents the art of acting. The charismatic old man develops a special technique that brings him good dividends. His adult daughter helps him keep the business afloat. Mindy, the grumpy and dissatisfied daughter, drives her poor father crazy with terrible nitpicking. To get rid of the burdensome guardianship of the unbearable child, Kominski pays attention to the curious Lisa. The lovely beauty is divorced and unsuccessfully tries to establish contact with her crazy offspring. In difficult situations, the main character is supported by his old friend Norman, who is married to a charming lady. At their latest meeting, the concerned friend tells Sandy about his spouse's illness. The elderly man fears losing his beloved and being left alone. His wife hopes that the longtime comrade will take care of her grieving husband after her death.
