Michael Mahoney, producer of the TV series "The Mist", announced that the release of the second season of the project should not be expected, as the management closed the series due to very mediocre ratings.

The finale of the first part was broadcasted on the television channel "Spike TV" in August 2017. This story is based on the eponymous novel by Stephen King.

Plot Summary

The action takes place in a quiet town called Bridgville, where the main characters of the drama are located. One ordinary day, a strange mist descends on the settlement, the nature of which the residents cannot understand. At first, the sudden change in weather conditions did not frighten the local population too much, but later they began to wonder what was happening in the county. Monsters from an unknown source begin to indiscriminately deal with ordinary mortals, depriving them of the right to a happy future. Help from government structures is not expected, so the brave ones decide to take care of themselves. Some of them had to lock themselves in a store where they had gone shopping shortly before. Bloody wars are raging outside, so it is necessary to think carefully and come up with an excellent plan for their own salvation before daring to stick their nose out of the shelter.

The lead roles were played by: Alissa Sutherland, who has been involved in feature films "Look Up" and "Theory of Luck", Danica Churchch, who appeared in films "In Short" and "Golden Beach", Morgan Specter, who acted in films "The Common Room" and "Real Rocky", and other artists.

The viewers were able to appreciate the premiere series on June 22, 2017. 10 episodes were released. The main protagonists of the fantasy are a small group of brave people who must gather courage and engage in a fight against monsters that are stronger than them.
