Eddie Lane, along with his wife Sarah and their two children, is a member of the Meyerist community. The main character turned to the new faith when a turning point came in his life: whether to continue living or commit suicide. Sarah was born and raised among members of the community, and another way of life is unknown to her. Cal temporarily replaces the Meyerist leader. This man has a bright charisma and knows how to persuade. For many years, he had strong feelings for Sarah, and now he serves the Meyerists with faith and truth. But he has hidden reasons that he is not willing to share. The Meyerists have many rituals. During one of them, Eddie had a vision that their unwavering leader, Steven Meyer, was not in Peru but was dying in excruciating pain in a regular hospital. Should Eddie embark on a search for the truth? The hero understands that the answers to his questions can destroy his seemingly peaceful life in the community. Sarah and Cal, who are not willing to let him go, will be the main obstacles in Eddie's path.
