The Terror release date

In 2018, the television channel AMC planned the premiere of the dramatic series "The Terror". The script was written by Dave Kajganich and Dan Simmons. The latter is the author of the novel on which the new show is based. Ridley Scott agreed to take on the role of one of the executive producers.

The main character of the multi-part film is the explorer Sir John Franklin. In the middle of the last century, the man organized and led an expedition. His path lay towards the northern coast of Canada. The explorer pursued a specific goal: to find a new route from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific. However, while wandering through the boundless sea spaces, the expedition got lost. For several decades, people conducted search and rescue operations. During these activities, meager data on the fate of the people on the disappeared ships were collected. However, even today, it is not reliably known what events led to the famous end. Was it a collision with an iceberg, or did the crew get poisoned by spoiled food? Dan Simmons identified the encounter of the team of two ships with an unknown giant sea creature as the cause of the tragedy.
