The release of the second season of the series "The Terror" by AMC is scheduled for 2019. This information was provided by the film company Scott Free Productions, which is responsible for the production of the show.
Executive producer Dave Kajganich, who is also credited as the screenplay writer, has announced the start of work on the thriller sequel. The final episode of the first season will air on the television channel "AMC" in May 2018. This project is based on the eponymous work by writer Dan Simmons, who wrote his masterpiece based on a true story that happened to Arctic explorer Franklin.
Season 2 teaser
The events take place in the distant year of 1845. John organizes an exploratory expedition. Two ships prepared for the journey head north to Canada. The professional team pursues a great goal – to discover a convenient route from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. However, before reaching the final destination, the ships get lost at sea. For a long time, no news is received about their movements. As it turns out, the crew members have fallen into a trap from which there is no escape. They try not to panic, but with each passing minute, it becomes increasingly difficult. A more terrifying ordeal awaits them ahead. The creatures attack the crew from all sides. Not everyone manages to survive in the fight against the monsters. The creatures also dispatch the captain. In order to stabilize the situation, Francis Crozier takes charge of the survivors.
The key roles are played by Kieran Hinds, known for his roles in the films "There Will Be Blood" and "Frozen", Jared Harris, who appeared in the films "The Addams Family" and "Lincoln", Caroline Bolton, who participated in the TV series "Houdini" and "Doctor Who", and other artists.
The premiere is planned for the first half of 2018. A total of 10 exciting episodes were filmed. After the tragic incident that occurred to the expedition group, the main character leads a group of survivors and hopes to reach a safe place.
