Top of the Lake Season 3

Fulcrum Media Finance film company has announced that the release of Season 3 of the TV series "The Peak of the Lake" is expected closer to the summer of 2018.

The finale of the second part was broadcasted on the TV channels "Sundance Channel" and "BBC Two" in August 2017. The events take place in a small remote town located in the picturesque New Zealand.

Season 3 Teaser

The story begins with Tui Mitchum deciding to end her life by suicide. She is only 12 years old but is in an interesting situation. The young girl is pregnant but categorically refuses to reveal the surname of the biological father of the child. She heads to a deserted area and enters a cold body of water. Passing motorists notice the strange girl and are able to save her from death. Detective Robin Griffin, who recently returned to the town, wants to find out the reason behind the failed suicide attempt. The woman was pushed to such an act by the sad news that her mother has a serious illness. She tries to support her mother and, at the same time, investigate the mysterious incident. The investigator learns about the mysterious disappearance of the pregnant girl. She takes on the case and realizes that the townspeople have something to hide from the public.

The following artists were invited to play the leading roles: Elizabeth Moss, known for the films "It's Bother to Be Normal" and "Real Rocky", Peter Mullan, who appeared in the series "Ozark" and "The Quarryman", Genevieve Lemon, involved in the films "Couture Revenge" and "The Piano", and others.

The Russian audience was able to appreciate the premiere episode on March 19, 2014. 13 episodes were filmed. The main heroine tries to understand the unusual events happening in her hometown.
