The action takes place in a mountain village in New Zealand. A twelve-year-old girl is diagnosed with early pregnancy by doctors. The father is unknown, but later the viewer learns that it is a person from the local gang. Nevertheless, the girl goes into the lake and disappears without a trace. Robin Griffin is forced to come to her childhood home to investigate this mysterious case. Her dying mother must tell her daughter the last secrets of the provincial village. Later it becomes clear that it is not a matter of human hands. There is some ancient evil inhabiting the area of the mountain lake. Robin left this place with relief. The area has never been known for its prosperity. In addition, the urban legend of otherworldly evil has turned into a terrifying truth. But now she needs to immerse herself in her own past and remember what happened in her childhood. The remaining residents live in fear. They are controlled by a person involved in child prostitution. But not only the criminals and corrupt police officers represent the local evil. A certain Enlightened one sells residents Paradise, which cannot be entrusted to inexperienced hands.
