Travelers Season 2

The production of the Canadian project "Travelers" is being carried out by the film studio Peacock Alley Entertainment. The executive producer of the sci-fi series, Sally Dixon, announced the decision to renew it for a second season.

The continuation is expected to be released in the autumn of 2017. The finale of the first season took place in late December 2016. The broadcast is carried out by the television channel "Showcase". The events unfold in the distant future. Global catastrophes and irreparable mistakes have led to the planet being under the threat of total extinction.

Scientists who were lucky enough to survive develop a unique technology capable of transferring a person's consciousness into the past, moving into other bodies. Thus, the main characters become completely different personalities, but at the same time remember their mission and strive to bring it to reality. They try to fix the situation and work for the good of all humanity. Special Agent MacLaren is looking for them. Having discovered the reasons for their time travel, the man provides them with all possible assistance and decides to lead the operation. To begin with, they need to deal with the shipment of dangerous items and neutralize the explosive device, thereby attempting to save thousands of innocent citizens. The team successfully completes the task, but a new group is already rushing to replace them. However, as soon as its members arrive, they are killed by a bomb that exploded nearby. An FBI agent is determined to investigate the crime and identify the traitor, if there is one.

The key roles were played by MacKenzie Porter, who appeared in adventure shows "Hell on Wheels" and "Supernatural," Eric McCormack, the star of detective stories "Perception" and "The Mysteries of Laura," and Jared Abrahamson, a young actor who appeared in the feature film "The Submarine Kid," among many other artists.

The premiere episode was shown on October 17, 2016. A total of 12 episodes were filmed. The script tells the story of time travelers who have set themselves the grand goal of preventing the apocalypse.
