36 years ago, James Bridges directed the melodrama "Urban Cowboy" starring John Travolta in the lead role. His partner was Debra Winger. Recently, it became known that this film will serve as the basis for a TV series. Currently, the project is in the scriptwriting stage.

The setting of the story is a small town where a young American man named Bud arrives. He wants to earn money to buy his own house. Staying with his relatives, he finds a job at an oil refinery. Soon after his arrival, his relatives take him to Gilley's bar. Bud is drawn to the atmosphere there, so he becomes a regular visitor. It is there that he meets Sissy. The characters quickly realize they like each other and start dating. However, their relationship is overshadowed by regular arguments caused by their differences in views. Sissy supports equal relationships, while Bud is a conservative. The couple manages to register their relationship, but the scandals continue even after their wedding. Another fight ends with Bud kicking his wife out of the door. Now they each have their own life, but Sissy intends to win her husband back. Meanwhile, a bull riding contest starts at the bar. The main character decides to participate in order to earn money. Will he be able to win? Will the couple be able to rebuild their family?
