Versailles Season 2

The first season of the story, telling about the amazing life of Louis XIV, the King of France, finished with tremendous success in December 2016, capturing the hearts of many fans eagerly awaiting the continuation of the drama.

The release date of the next season 2, according to the statement of the series creators, is scheduled for November 2016. The filming will still be directed by talented director Daniel Robi, working in collaboration with the film company "Capa Drama" and the TV channel "Canal+".

What will happen in the 2nd season

The plot of the film revolves around the famous Louis XIV, who lost his father early and was appointed the ruler of France at the age of only four. The infant could not govern such a powerful state, so his mother, Anne of Austria, sat on the throne. It was destined for her to perish and free the throne when Louis turned twenty-eight. Taking the reins of government into his own hands, the young king soon discovered that the Council of Ministers cared more about personal gain than the needs of the state, and sought to seize power by violent means. Then Louis realizes that he needs to apply all his talent, knowledge, and courage to create a royal residence in the Versailles Palace and lead France to the top once and for all. In the continuation of the historical drama Sun King, as his subjects called him, will appear before the audience four years after the events of season 1 and unfold a serious intrigue in the struggle for power.

The premiere episode of season 1, consisting of 10 episodes, was presented to a wide audience on November 16, 2015. It introduced a new hero to the world, whose fate was immediately followed by millions of fans of historical films.
