Pavel Artemyev is a graduate student at the prestigious historical faculty of a Moscow university. Pasha specializes in particularly mysterious events in world history, called enigmatic. Suddenly, he becomes the owner of an amazing treatise called "Bruce's Calendar". It describes a way to travel through time, which Artemyev and his daredevil friend Garik Staritsky use to go into the past. They involuntarily become participants in those very events that Pasha worked on for his dissertation. But all this is not just a wonderful walk through time. In addition to the "Calendar", Bruce wrote the Book of Fate, which reveals the secret of immortality. His deceitful student, Baron Heinrich von Shkille, attempted to kill him to possess this knowledge, but failed. In front of the scoundrel's eyes, Bruce destroyed his creation, and now Heinrich is hunting for the Calendar in order to finally possess it. Can Pasha and Garik stop him and return to their own time?
