The First Channel plans to release the detective series "Second Sight" on air in the final part of 2017. The new multi-part film consists of 12 episodes and was created by the "Mars Media" film studio.

The script takes us into the life of investigator Tikhonov. Working in the homicide department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operative makes a fatal mistake, resulting in the innocent death of his friend, colleague, and mentor. Tikhonov himself lost his sight due to the attacker, but despite his disability, he returned to service. Completely blind, the police officer's other sense receptors became heightened, giving him vision of details that other investigators often overlook. Thanks to this newfound gift, he cracks cases like nuts, but the ghosts of the past don't leave Tikhonov in peace. The unique detective for the Russian police returns to the old case and tries to solve the crime that made him who he is and took away his best friend. Along his path stand people involved in the ill-fated murder, feeling that Tikhonov is getting very close to the solution and already breathing down the neck of the killer of his mentor.
