The American service Hulu has announced the upcoming release of the TV series "When the Street Lights Go On", directed by Brett Morgen (known for the emotional documentary film "Cobain: Montage of Heck"). The pilot episode of the project was presented at the renowned Sundance film festival (an independent film festival) and received positive reviews from many critics. The series features young actor Max Burkholder (from the TV series "Parenthood").

The plot of the series revolves around a small town and the mysterious murders that begin to occur there. This mystical thriller with a detective element starts with a brutal crime in which 17-year-old girl Chrissy Monroe and school teacher Steve Carpenter were killed, and their bodies were discovered by students of the local school. Could it be that one of the townspeople took justice into their own hands to permanently punish the carefree schoolgirl and the lascivious teacher? Will this murder be the beginning of a series of terrifying events in one of the towns in Illinois? The police can't seem to solve the investigation, there is very little evidence, and there are practically no suspects. It may be up to the students themselves to find the killer of their beloved teacher, but what they discover may not please them. The actions take viewers back to 1983. So, a gloomy town, misty streets, eerie sounds, a chilling atmosphere, tangled intrigues, and unsolved murders are the main highlights of this new project.
