For millennia, werewolves have lived among humans - half-human beings who transform into wolves during each full moon. They need to hide their nature and live in packs. Some packs are civilized and get along well with humans, but there are also wild wolves who are much more aggressive. Such werewolves tend to see themselves as a race that is older and superior to humans. The Maddie family is the only pack of werewolves in the vicinity of the town of Stonebridge. Despite being somewhat isolated from society, they are not outcasts. The girl attends school with human children, but soon she will have to transform into a young wolf for the first time. Unexpectedly, she sees a newcomer at school - a boy named Ridian, who was recently adopted, and Maddie feels the wolf blood in him. Having a common secret, they become friends, hiding their true nature even from their closest friends - Shannon and Tom. Maddie is bothered by the fact that Shannon considers wolves monsters. Her friend is convinced that a terrible beast lives nearby and tries to convince everyone. Soon, the position of wolves in society begins to change, and the Maddie and Ridian families have to go through many trials together.
