The television series ZKD was first aired in March 2015 and immediately entered the top ten shows of that year. Since the plot of the first part was designed for only eight episodes, the show flew by for the viewers at supersonic speed. The ratings of TV shows slightly spoiled expectations for the second season, but nevertheless, the number of fans only increased at the time of its release. After the finale of the second part, the creator and the ideological inspirer of the crime drama, Ilya Kulikov, were literally bombarded with questions: "When is the continuation?", "What will happen next?" and "When is the premiere?".

The Law of the Stone Jungles became a non-standard project for TNT - an entertainment channel that aired a series of this kind for the first time. This was followed by a flood of dissatisfaction with the new broadcasting schedule, as the lion's share was previously occupied exclusively by comedy series.
