In June 2016, the premiere of the pilot episode of the new crime series "Animal Kingdom" took place on the TNT channel. The alternative name of the project is "Kingdom of Animals". In 2010, a feature film was made in Australia, which served as the basis for this multi-series film. The development of the project was entrusted to Jonathan Lisco, and he managed to cope with his task.

The main character is a guy named Joshua (J), who lost his mother due to a drug overdose. Joshua moves to his grandmother Janine's house, whom he hasn't seen for many years. Everyone calls her Smurf. She lives in a big house and is involved in business. Her sons provide her with all kinds of assistance. Outwardly, they support the orphaned youth. However, J understands that there are many secrets behind the glossy facade. After the release of Smurf's eldest son Andrew, the situation in the family becomes tense. He does not recognize Joshua as his equal and provokes him to commit foolish actions. One day, J learns that his relatives' work is connected with crime. From now on, he cannot feel safe in their home. The hero has to choose his own path. Will he follow in grandma and her sons' footsteps or distance himself from them? The answer to this question awaits J ahead.
