BrainDead release date

In June 2016, a team of directors, including Allan Arkush, Jim McKay, and Robert King, released a series with elements of horror, science fiction, thriller, and comedy under the bold name "BrainDead". The series is broadcast on CBS.

Laurel Healy, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, dreamed of a successful career in documentary filmmaking. The lack of progress led the girl to take a job in the American Congress as one of the senator's assistants. The politician and, at the same time, the heroine's brother represents the state of Maryland. Upon entering the new position, Laurel finds herself involved in a series of different events. On the one hand, Republicans and Democrats are eternal enemies. Their clashes can paralyze the government's work. On the other hand, alien creatures have attacked the brains of major American politicians in order to devour them. In an attempt to uncover the motives of the aliens, Laurel teams up with two men. The first is Gustav Triplett, an eccentric conspiracy theorist. The second is Rochelle Daudé, a resident physician. Each day, the number of members of the American Congress and Senate who have been infected grows. Laurel, along with her helpers, is forced to develop an extraordinary plan to save those who have lost their minds.
