The TV series "Chernobyl Exclusion Zone" originally aired on the TNT channel. The idea for the show was born back in 2006, when the first pilot episode was filmed. Since then, the project has undergone fundamental changes that have made it successful and popular in Russia. The TV series about Chernobyl is a road adventure. Five teenagers - Pasha, Alexey, Gosh, Anya and Nastya - embark on an unexpected journey. In the first season, they chase after a thief who robbed the Vershinin family's apartment after a wild party the night before. The criminal chooses an unusual vacation spot - the area of the former technological disaster near the nuclear power plant in the city of Pripyat. The high level of radiation does not frighten the adventure-seeker, Podcaster. Soon they all find out that the Zone is not an amusement park, but a mysterious and dangerous place in northern Ukraine, from which it is almost impossible to escape.

The final steps on the way to the reactor become the most difficult. The strategic facility is guarded by highly trained military and police. But this does not deter Lesh Gorelov, who is trying to infiltrate the territory of the classified facility and stop a group of saboteurs. Pasha Vershinin with Lera and Anya will try to divert the attention of the main part of the security service to thin out the ranks of the reactor's defenders. Sergey Kostenko, using his special training skills, neutralizes the mercenaries who have been monitoring the teenagers all this time. It seemed like the mission was accomplished and it was time to go home, but something is going wrong again, unlike what Pavel and Alexey planned...
The project's director, Anders Banke, carefully selected actors for the main roles. The main criterion for being cast in the show was the right type. Kostya Davydov was a perfect fit for the main character, Pavel Vershinin. Sergey Romanovich plays the joker and bully Gorelov. The enigmatic Anya is portrayed by Kristina Kazinskaya. Valeria Dmitrieva played Nastya, Lesh's girlfriend. The guys admitted that the experience gained during the filming of the show is invaluable, as the foreign director works with a completely different approach than what they are used to in Russian cinema.
The TV series "Chernobyl Exclusion Zone" is a joint franchise of "Sinelab Production" and the TNT channel. In 2016, after a change in the management of "Gazprom Media" (owners of the TNT, TV-3 networks, etc.), it was decided to move the second season of the show to another channel - TV-3.
