Containment release date

On April 19, 2016, a new series called "Containment" premiered on The CW channel. The show is an American remake of the Belgian drama "Cordon", which was released two years earlier.

The script's events unfold in the main hospital of the city of Atlanta, United States. One of the clinic's therapists falls ill with a serious respiratory illness after contact with a patient, which is resistant to any of the currently existing antibiotics or medications. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention discovers that shortly before this, they had diagnosed a similar illness in a Syrian teenager, who is referred to as "patient zero." The number of infected people continues to grow both within and outside the hospital. After a growing number of deaths caused by this viral strain, the city's government decides to take a radical step – to fence off the infected area with electrified fencing and declare a quarantine. The people inside the quarantine desperately try to break through to the unaffected territory, which forces the US National Guard to use firearms. On opposite sides of the barricades are friends and relatives, who will attempt to reunite and help each other. The main storyline revolves around police officer Jake, Alex, his beloved Yana, and a teacher who was caught off guard by the epidemic during a school trip with a whole bus full of children.
