In 2014, the TV series "The Long Way Home" was adapted from Svetlana Petrova's novel. In the ordinary village of Filkino, a beauty named Nadezhda lives. Her family lives modestly, so the girl dreams of a paradise life. But the reality is such that she has to look for a groom in her own village. For a long time, a young man named Viktor courted her. He sought the attention of the heroine, and soon the girl reciprocated. The young couple set a wedding date when an unexpected visit from an influential person changes the plans of the heroes. Vitaliy holds a government position in Moscow and has great power. Coming to the remote backwoods, he never expected to meet Nadya. But the girl immediately caught his eye, and she saw in him a prospective groom. Without hesitation, she leaves Vitya and goes to Moscow with her new suitor. It doesn't take long for Vitaliy to propose to the rural girl. After all, he sought profit in everything, and this marriage positively influenced his already successful career. However, the naive heroine could not have imagined what awaited her in the future. All dreams of a glamorous life remained only fantasies. It became even harder after the birth of their daughter. Can a rich life be so burdensome that Nadezhda would want to return to her village?
