At that time, her state was living in poverty, and the chance to leave there was a step into the unknown for her. The young girl hopes to find happiness and true love in mysterious Russia, but she encounters conspiracies and court games for the throne. Her future spouse is cold towards her, and the empress's plan to take her child away horrifies Catherine. But she finds the strength to resist injustice and starts fighting for the throne herself. Eventually, she will be able to take Elizabeth's place and overthrow her husband from power. But will the fragile girl find happiness?
