The American series "The Expanse" by Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus premiered on the SyFy channel on November 23, 2015. The show was created by writers who worked on "Iron Man". The script is based on a series of books by James S.A. Corey.

The events of the show take us 200 years into the future. The entire solar system is colonized by humans. The planet Mars is heavily populated and exists independently of Earth, while Ceres serves as an ice miner for the green planet. The main character of the series is detective Joseph Miller, who lives on Ceres. He is hired to search for Julie Andromeda Mao, who is the daughter of one of the most influential people on the Moon. Simultaneously with the start of the search, the Canterbury, a cargo ship loaded with ice, is attacked by an unknown vessel with nuclear warheads. Only five people from the expedition survive and are picked up by a Martian military shuttle, which is also soon attacked like the Canterbury. Earth authorities begin their own investigation into the incident, and as the case unfolds, Miller begins to see a connection between the revolutionaries from Ceres and the missing Andromeda. Joseph becomes close to uncovering a secret conspiracy by Earth, so he is soon fired and even attempted to be killed. As it turns out, the spaceships that carried out the attacks were built on Earth...
