Katie Wendelson has wanted to separate herself from her domineering mother since childhood. And so the girl grew up, went to study journalism at a different city. But fate decided that she was forced to return to her hometown and get a job at the local television channel. The position she got was good - producing news. However, she could not guess that her mother would suddenly get a job at the same channel a few days later. And it was not planned, it all happened spontaneously. Carol Wendelson immediately found a common language with colleagues, and they were impressed by the respect for the middle-aged lady. But the problems in their family relationship transferred to the workplace. On one hand, mom wants to demonstrate her authority and rise above her new colleague. But on the other hand, Katie is still the same little girl for her, who lived in the house ten years ago. The polarity of their characters becomes the reason for humorous incidents, because Katie is no longer a little girl. Even the office heartthrob, Greg Walsh, started flirting with her.
