The plot revolves around a professor from a provincial town. Until a certain day, all of Southern California was proud of its outstanding student. The literature professor taught the subject at higher educational institutions. He was highly regarded everywhere. But suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, the news broke that Larry's wife had been brutally murdered. Henderson becomes the main suspect. Only a few believe that this is a simple setup. The absent-minded literary scholar seems like an easy prey for the prosecutor. She plans to get a promotion for a "particularly grave" case. Solving the case becomes a matter of time, as there are more than enough leads to incriminate the professor. The lengthy trial adds another disservice to the man. He will be defended by a very young lawyer who finished his training a couple of months ago, and this is his first real case. However, this guy turns out to be not as simple as he seems at first glance. His sharp wit and resourcefulness help the defendant gradually gather evidence to prove his innocence. Josh Sigal doesn't even have his own office. Together with his small team, he is forced to take refuge in a taxidermist's workshop.
