Fans of Antonio Banderas are eagerly awaiting the release of the detective series "Hawaiian Quartet" on screens. The novels of Cuban writer Leonardo Padura served as sources of inspiration for the screenwriters. The multi-part film will be shown on the Starz channel.

The action of the series takes place in Cuba in the 90s of the 20th century. The main character, Mario, works for the benefit of society. He is a detective. However, it's hard to call the hero consistent. Mario has a diploma of higher education, loves to spend time reading classical literature and listening to the best examples of music. He wants to become a popular writer. However, this is just a dream. In real life, he has to take on the role of a brave police officer. The discrepancy between dreams and reality becomes the cause of the depressive state that Mario is in. The best way to escape from reality becomes drinking, women, and restaurants. However, personal troubles do not prevent the main character from catching and putting behind bars hardened city criminals. Will Mario be able to fulfill his dream, or will he have to remain on the side of the law until the end of his days? We don't have to wait long for an answer.
