In 2016, the Starz channel will delight viewers with a multitude of interesting novelties. One of the notable series among them is the dramatic American production "The One Percent." The post of director and screenwriter for several episodes has been entrusted to the Mexican Alejandro González Iñárritu, known to audiences for the sensational film "The Revenant."

The main characters of the multi-series film are a married couple played by Hilary Swank and Ed Harris. Alfred Murphy and his wife are farmers. Working the land brings them pleasure and joy. However, their business is going through tough times, and therefore the Murphy couple can lose their means of subsistence at any moment. Their everyday life is filled with difficulties and a struggle for survival. One fateful day, the heroes learn that in the foreseeable future, fate has prepared an even more serious trial for them. Either their business will collapse, or the heroes will be able to grab onto a lifeboat and survive a terrible storm. The future depends on their decision. Alfred must decide whether the opportunity to seize a fortune, even if it does not bring profit, is worth sacrificing everything they have worked for in life. How will the heroes behave in such a tense situation? Will they be able to save the family business?
