In 2019, Channel One plans to air the crime drama series "The Gambler" directed by Yuri Moroz. The series will be produced by the film studio "Profit".

The plot revolves around the genius Nikita Pirogov. The future professor of mathematics once dismantles a scheme of manipulations at the request of his brother, which will help cheat the casino. The initial calculations indicate the success of their venture and promise a lot of money. The graduate student from Moscow State University decides to change his path as a scientist of mathematical sciences to a gambling trail. Together, they attempt to outplay the casino and win a fortune, but the casino starts to expose their cunning plan and punish the "geniuses".
