The multi-episode project tells the story of power and the brutal struggle for it. Mexico is going through far from the best times. In order to overcome the economic crisis, significant changes, new reforms, and an effective approach are needed. In such a difficult period, one of the potential candidates for the head of state in the elections addresses the public with a very convincing campaign, instilling hope for a bright future and prosperity. In the end, the successful and charismatic man becomes the president, gathering the largest number of votes. The people who chose him believe in him, his devoted wife Emilia Urquiza, who becomes the first lady, believes in him. But how deeply disappointing it turns out to be when the new president proves to be a liar, a hypocrite, a schemer, and an unscrupulous person, who betrays not only the citizens but also his own wife. How long has he hidden from her illegal schemes, deceptive manipulations, and his greedy nature? What will happen to the Mexican people and the country as a whole now? However, this is not the scariest thing that Emilia is thinking about. One day, she personally gets involved in a scandal, threatening her with a bad international reputation and danger to her own life. Viewers can expect cunning intrigues, dirty political games, criminal murders, and a tangled mosaic of events. How will the strong and beautiful Emilia manage to get out of all this plot and maintain her dignity, in order to be able to turn the country towards better times?
